About Green Country Guide

A local guide to the businesses worth knowing across Green Country, and a plain account of how it is put together.

What this is

Green Country Guide covers northeastern Oklahoma: Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Bixby, Jenks, Sand Springs, Collinsville, Glenpool, Coweta, and the towns around them. The idea is simple. Searching for a local business usually means wading through the same handful of aggregators, chain listings, and pages that have not been touched in years. We do that sorting once, by category, and publish what is left.

Every guide links straight out to each business. We are a starting point, not a destination, and the site is built to send you somewhere useful quickly.

How we pick

Two tiers run on this site, and they work differently.

Written picks. A handful of businesses in each guide carry a write-up from us. Those are hand-chosen and hand-written. We look for established, locally run operations with a real presence in the community and a working website of their own.

Ranked lists. The larger category lists are built from established, operating businesses in that category across the metro, ordered by local reputation. We weight toward businesses with a long, consistent local track record rather than whoever has the newest listing.

Both tiers link to the business's own website, never to a profile page we control.

What we will not do

Disclosure

Green Country Guide is published by Zenith Elevation Group, a web design, hosting, and digital studio based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. That matters for two reasons and you should know both.

First, some of the businesses in these guides are Zenith Elevation clients or partners, including Zenith Elevation itself, which appears in the Tulsa metro web design guide. Those entries are marked no differently from any other because they are held to the same standard: real, operating, locally run, with their own website. Being a client does not buy a spot, and it does not move anyone up a ranked list.

Second, Featured Partner units. These are the labelled promotional blocks that appear on the homepage and on guide pages. They sit outside the guide lists entirely, they never appear among the numbered entries or in a ranked category list, and they are always labelled as partner placements. They are how the site covers its own costs without touching the editorial lists.

If that arrangement ever changes, this page changes with it.
